The Cards Everybody Wants From THE CHRONICLES Deck: Spirit Charmers

The Cards Everybody Wants From THE CHRONICLES Deck: Spirit Charmers The second installment in THE CHRONICLES Deck series has arrived. THE CHRONICLES Deck: Spirit Charmers follows up on the wildly popular Fallen & the Virtuous, and while it’s undeniably weaker in raw power, it still hides several valuable gems beneath the surface. For longtime Charmer fans or duelists looking to lock down key cards for rogue strategies this deck offers plenty of reasons to take a closer look. Market Prices THE CHRONICLES Deck: Spirit Charmers (All Foil Edition) $13.39 THE CHRONICLES Deck: Fallen & the Virtuous (All Foil Edition) $16.54 Let’s break down the most desirable cards from Spirit Charmers and why they matter. #10 Charmers of the Grand Circle The ultimate boss monster for the Charmer strategy, Charmers of the Grand Circle packs an absurd amount of value into one Fusion Monster. Upon Fusion Summon, it can gain ATK, search Possessed Spell/Traps, bounce cards, and Special Summon Spellcasters all based on the Attributes used. This card functions as both an extender and a finisher. You won’t summon it every duel, but when you do especially with tools like Magicalized Fusion the payoff can be game ending. #9 Spellbook Magician of Prophecy A classic never goes out of style. Spellbook Magician of Prophecy is a cornerstone of the Spellbook archetype and a long standing engine piece splashed into countless strategies over the years. While it has received premium reprints recently, this deck offers one of the most accessible foil versions in a long time. For fans of legacy engines or collectors looking to stock up, this reprint is very welcome. #8 The Zombie Vampire Some cards are simply not designed to be used fairly and The Zombie Vampire is one of them. This Xyz Monster thrives in grindy, mill heavy strategies, converting deck destruction into massive tempo swings by stealing monsters straight from the Graveyard. Despite its strength, it’s historically been awkward to obtain. Thanks to Spirit Charmers, that barrier is gone and chaos enthusiasts can rejoice. #7 Spellbook of the Grand Circle Yes, this card really says add four monsters to your hand. While you do shuffle two cards back, Spellbook of the Grand Circle is still a net positive search spell with absurd flexibility. On top of that, it doubles as a Fusion enabler from the Graveyard summoning Charmers of the Grand Circle while preventing opponent interaction during the summon. It’s one of the strongest Charmer support cards ever printed and a massive reason to pick up this deck. #6 Dark Ruler No More Sometimes, a card is just generically excellent. Dark Ruler No More shuts off opposing monster effects without fear of monster based interaction. While it’s seen several reprints already, another foil version in an accessible product is always a win especially for newer duelists building competitive collections. #5 Lord of the Heavenly Prison A staple for backrow heavy strategies, Lord of the Heavenly Prison protects Set cards and turns defensive setups into explosive advantage engines. Whether Labrynth, Eldlich, or similar decks rise again, this card remains an essential toolbox option. Despite prior reprints, it’s been oddly difficult to collect making its inclusion here especially valuable. #4 Silhouhatte Rabbit Silhouhatte Rabbit is the kind of card you’re glad to own even if you don’t immediately know where to play it. It rewards leftover monsters with utility, disruption, and unique interactions with Trap Monsters. While it’s mostly found success in niche strategies like Odion Tombkeeper, increased accessibility could finally give it the spotlight it deserves. #3-1 The Horus Engine Sometimes, separating cards just doesn’t make sense. The Horus engine featuring Hapi, Guidance of Horus, King’s Sarcophagus, and Imsety, Glory of Horus has been a flexible and powerful package since its release. It’s seen competitive success at nearly every level of play, but high prices have kept it out of many players’ hands. Until now. With these cards included in THE CHRONICLES Deck: Spirit Charmers, duelists can finally explore Horus based strategies without breaking the bank making this deck far more impactful than it first appears.

Blazing Dominion Officially Announced

Blazing Dominion Officially Announced for TCG Release Launching May 7, 2026 Konami has officially unveiled Blazing Dominion, the next core booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, scheduled to release on May 7, 2026, at Official Tournament Stores (OTS). The set brings a wave of new support for fan favorite themes including Fairy Tail, Trains, and Jack Atlas inspired Synchro strategies, with even more surprises yet to be revealed. Below is a breakdown of what duelists can expect from this fiery new expansion. (Note: Card previews currently use OCG translations; official TCG names have not been revealed.) The Flames Rise with Jack Atlas and Synchro Power Leading the charge in Blazing Dominion are powerful new cards inspired by Jack Atlas, the self proclaimed King of the Blazing Dominion. Duelists who have prepared with Structure Deck: The Crimson King will find plenty of new tools to elevate their strategies. At the center is a new Level 8 DARK Dragon Synchro Monster, The Crimson King. Upon being Synchro Summoned, it allows you to search your Deck for any card that mentions Red Dragon Archfiend. As a Quick Effect, it can banish itself to Synchro Summon a true Red Dragon Archfiend from the Extra Deck, doubling its ATK and granting immunity to your opponent’s destruction effects. Also returning in a new form is Crimson Blader, now a Level 7 Synchro Monster with incredible flexibility. It can either add to your hand or Special Summon any Level 8 or higher monster that cannot be Normal Summoned or Set ranging from Ritual Monsters to Fusion or Synchro Monsters in your Graveyard. On top of that, it automatically destroys any Level 5 or higher monster it battles. To support these Synchro plays, Blazing Dominion introduces new combo pieces like Power Vice Dragon. This monster can Special Summon itself if your field is empty or if you control only DARK Synchro Monsters. When Special Summoned, it searches any Resonator monster from your Deck. If used as material for Red Dragon Archfiend, it also grants battle destruction immunity. Full Speed Ahead: Trains and Anna Kaboom Return Train enthusiasts have plenty to celebrate as Anna Kaboom returns with heavy hitting new support. The set introduces two new Level 10 EARTH Machine monsters, making it easier than ever to assemble Level 10 pairs for Rank 10 Xyz Summons or to bring powerful Extra Deck monsters into play quickly. Two new Rank 10 Superdreadnought Xyz Monsters also arrive with devastating effects. One grants an additional Machine Normal Summon each turn and searches any EARTH Machine monster or Barrage Blast when Xyz Summoned, while also being able to destroy Spell and Trap Cards by detaching materials. The other focuses on monster control, negating opponent effects and destroying the offending card in explosive fashion. Train strategies also gain a new Spell Card that searches Special Schedule or Urgent Schedule and places a Token on your opponent’s field ensuring they control more monsters than you, even on your first turn, enabling Urgent Schedule plays immediately. A New Chapter for Fairy Tail The Fairy Tail archetype opens a brand new story in Blazing Dominion. A new Level 4 Fairy Tail monster acts as a powerful searcher, adding any Fairy Tail Spell or Trap directly from your Deck to your hand. For the first time, Fairy Tail gains access to Fusion Summoning through a new Equip Spell Card. This enables the summoning of two brand new Fairy Tail Fusion Monsters. One Fusion Monster can Special Summon Fairy Tail monsters from the Deck or from banishment, while the other provides a strong form of interaction by negating any card or effect. Adding another layer of depth is a new Rank 4 Xyz Monster. Although it is DARK, it protects your LIGHT Fairy Tail monsters, sends Fairy Tail cards from the Deck to the Graveyard, and can even return itself to the field after leaving it continuing the theme’s recursive, storybook style gameplay. More to Come in Blazing Dominion While plenty has already been revealed, Konami has teased that Blazing Dominion still holds many more cards waiting to be uncovered along with mysterious hints of something stirring in the dinosaur lab. Set Breakdown: 10 Secret Rares 14 Ultra Rares 26 Super Rares 50 Commons 25 cards also available as Starlight Rares All names, designs, and contents are subject to change.

The Best Cards from Japan’s Burst Protocol

The Best Cards from Japan’s Burst Protocol A Deep Dive Burst Protocol has landed in Japan, and it’s packed with powerful upgrades for several fan favorite themes along with some standout generic cards that may shape future deckbuilding trends. Today we’re taking a guided tour through the set, beginning with the headliner archetypes and working our way down to the flexible tech options that Burst Protocol brings to the table. Let’s see if this core set really has “burst” things wide open. Borrelrokket Dragons Varis Strikes Again Varis’s Yu Gi Oh! VRAINS strategy returns to the spotlight with some impressive new toys, enhancing existing “Borrel” and “Rokket” plays while expanding their utility. Borrelshroud Dragon Link 5 3+ Effect Monsters Borrelshroud Dragon is the theme’s second Link 5, and while it’s less overpowering than Borrelend Dragon, it provides valuable utility. Its Quick Effect negates an opponent’s card and then destroys one of your own Rokkets turning your monsters into ignition points for the Rokket floating effects your opponent can’t respond to. It also can't be tributed by your opponent, protecting it from Kaiju like outs something Borrelend notably lacks. Borrelshroud’s Battle Phase ability lets you Special Summon any Link 4 or lower Borrel from the Extra Deck, enabling surprise pushes with Borreload or explosive OTK setups with Borrelsword. Its Link Arrows are also ideal for Extra Link setups or co link networks if you want to go full anime with your Borrels. Topologic Blaster Dragon Link 4 2+ Effect Monsters A new Topologic enters the fray, and it’s every bit as disruptive as the others. While in the Extra Monster Zone, if a monster is Special Summoned to a linked zone, Blaster unleashes one of three devastating effects each usable once per turn: Shuffle all other monsters into the Deck. Shuffle all Spells/Traps into the Deck. Look at your opponent’s Extra Deck and banish a card. All three are incredibly threatening, and the last provides both information and targeted disruption that many decks simply cannot afford to lose. Rokket Loader A standout among the new Rokkets, Rokket Loader searches any Level 7 DARK Dragon on summon opening access to Absorouter, Noctovision, Phantazmay, and assorted Red Eyes monsters. Though it restricts you to DARK Extra Deck monsters for the turn, that rarely inconveniences Dragon Link style lines. It also turns a monster DARK from the GY, setting up Super Polymerization for Starving Venom or the new Fatal Flare Dragon. Medius in Stasis A Quiet but Curious Upgrade The Medius lore cards aren’t overwhelming, but a couple of key pieces could age into powerful combo enablers. Theorealize Liberation A Spell that, while requiring Medius the Pure on board, offers extremely strong search/summon access to any 300 ATK/200 DEF monster presenting massive potential in future Power Patron support. From the GY it turns any of your monsters into a Tuner, smoothing awkward Synchro lines and bypassing restrictions on cards like Elvennotes Power Patron or Junora. Artmage Non Finito A flexible Fusion that can be Summoned traditionally or by tributing a Level 7+ Artmage and discarding any Spell/Trap. On summon it Sets any Artmage Spell/Trap directly from the Deck. More importantly, Non Finito provides a once per opponent’s turn Fusion Summon, giving Artmages additional reactive plays and faster access to Nerva, the Power Patron of Creation. Darklords Continued Descent Into Support Heaven Darklords gain consistency, recursion, and stronger ties to Forbidden Quick Play Spells. Darklord Djehuty Perhaps their most reliable starter yet. On Normal/Special Summon it Special Summons any Darklord from the Deck perfect for making Condemned Darklord, which then searches more pieces. If you control a DARK Fairy Fusion, Djehuty also recycles a Darklord card or Forbidden Spell from the GY. This enhances grind potential, toolboxing, and Forbidden Spell synergy all at once. Forbidden Crown A standout generic Spell from the entire set. Place this on any monster yours or your opponent’s and apply a long list of powerful temporary rules: negate effects, stop attacks, grant battle/effect immunity, prevent tributing, block material use, and more. Importantly, neither player can respond to Crown’s activation. It’s one of the most flexible answers since the classic Forbidden Chalice/Lance era. Albaz & Ecclesia New Forms, New Fusion Lines These cards tie into the foil Chronicles Deck, offering alternative openers and graveyard tools. Fallen of the White Dragon Treated as Fallen of Albaz and capped at three combined copies. It Special Summons itself by sending an Albaz mentioning monster from the Extra Deck fueling graveyard effects of Albaz Fusions at the cost of locking you into Level 8 Fusions/Synchros for the rest of the turn. On summon, it brings out an Ecclesia monster from anywhere, accelerating Fusion setups. Ecclesia of the Black Dragon A Level 7 Synchro that banishes herself as a Quick Effect to summon Albaz or any Level 4 or lower monster that mentions him. This dodges interaction and creates fast access to additional Albaz lines. From the GY, she recycles a Level 8 Fusion and returns any card on the field to the Deck excellent removal and resource recovery. Exosisters Tactical Tools of Divine Timing Both new cards are highly impactful for an archetype that thrives on meta positioning. Exosister Karmael A Rank 4 that, when Xyz Summoned, Sets any Exosister Spell/Trap from Deck, GY, or banished. It also rewrites an opponent’s activated monster or Normal Spell/Trap effect into “add 1 card from your opponent’s GY to their hand.” This pseudo negation can neutralize threats like Nibiru or handtraps while restoring your advantage. Exosister Bat Meter On activation it searches two Exosister monsters and then discards a card dramatically improving consistency. It also allows an immediate Normal Summon of an Exosister mentioned on one of your monsters, creating easy Xyz setups. Once per turn, if your opponent sends a monster to the GY, they must banish one of them clean graveyard control. Rescue ACE Firefighters With Fresh Fuel These two aren’t as explosive as the Exosisters’ upgrades, but still provide meaningful boosts. Rescue ACE Quick Attacker A simple but extremely effective starter: shuffle another Rescue ACE card back to Special Summon it, then tribute it to search any Rescue ACE and potentially Special Summon that monster if you’re facing an empty field on your side. This smooths Rescue ACE lines and loads the GY for Turbulence. Rescue ACE Arbitrator A Link Monster that searches Rescue ACE Hydrant or HQ on summon and pops an opponent’s card each time you activate a Rescue ACE Quick Play or Normal Trap up to twice per turn. In combination with Turbulence’s mass setting, Arbitrator becomes a repeatable removal engine. D/D/D A New Tool for Dimensional Chaos D/D/D Sage King Alfred A Level 6 Fusion that lets you Fusion Summon any D/D/D Fusion by returning its materials from hand, field, or banished which includes Alfred himself. This gives the deck unprecedented recycling power, especially with Arc Crisis lines that banish resources. If banished, Alfred places Dark Contracts from GY/banished back onto the field up to the number of D/D/D monsters you control excellent for regaining long game engines. Generic All Stars of Burst Protocol These cards may see broad experimentation across many decks. Dark Staring at the Blue Sky A gigantic Reptile that self revives from the GY when your opponent Special Summons from Deck/Extra Deck via a monster effect. Once on board, it functions as a Quick Effect monster summon negater by banishing a card from your hand/field. If banished, it later recycles another of your banished monsters useful for resource loops. First Penguin A charming but potent extender. If you control no face up monsters, it Special Summons itself as a Tuner. By discarding a card and revealing a WATER Synchro, it searches a WATER monster of the same Type with one Level lower and flips itself face down. This is incredibly strong for decks like Merlantean, Sharks, Crystrons, Penguins, or any WATER strategy running even a single Synchro. Zaren the Chainbound Dragon A powerful Level 7 Synchro that can act as either a Tuner or non-Tuner. If a card/effect is activated in response to another, Zaren may negate either the initial card or the responsive one whichever helps you more. This protects your plays and destabilizes your opponent’s attempt to chain block or counter your actions.
