This list brings together Froslass, Munkidori, and Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex, held together by one crucial card: Secret Box. The idea is simple but effective. Froslass’s Freezing Shroud places damage counters on all Pokémon with Abilities between turns, and Munkidori’s Adrena Brain turns that passive damage into active pressure by reflecting it back onto the opponent’s side. Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex then takes over as a powerful Darkness type attacker that capitalizes on the damage you’ve spread. The Core Strategy Secret Box is the glue that holds the deck together. It allows you to search for a Marnie’s Pokémon, a Supporter, and a Buddy Buddy Poffin setting up your next turn and stabilizing your board. Pair this with Arven, one of the strongest early game Supporters, to fetch key tools like Technical Machine: Evolution or Rare Candy to bring your board online quickly. Your best stadium, Spikemuth Gym, provides consistent search power for your Marnie’s line, keeping the deck’s engine running. Once your board is established, Boss’s Orders (Ghetsis) becomes a major win condition pulling key targets from the opponent’s bench and disrupting their setup. Often, simply maintaining pressure with Grimmsnarl while controlling their setup with Boss’s Orders is enough to win slower matchups outright. Key Pokémon Choices Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex (DRI) Your main attacker and centerpiece. Efficient and versatile, it’s your primary win condition once the setup is complete. Munkidori (PRE) The backbone of your passive damage engine. Multiple copies are essential to stack the Adrena Brain Ability, amplifying chip damage into real offensive momentum. Froslass (PR SV) Fuels the deck’s spread strategy through Freezing Shroud, punishing opponents for keeping Ability heavy boards. Fezandipiti ex (SFA) Acts as your on board draw engine. In an environment where Grimmsnarl is often knocked out in one hit anyway, Fezandipiti ex’s two Prize liability is minimal. It provides crucial consistency in a deck that otherwise lacks draw power. Yveltal (MEG) A single copy inclusion that offers free retreat and occasional stall potential by locking opponents’ Active Pokémon. Its utility in buying tempo turns makes it a subtle but effective addition. Key Trainer Cards and Supporters Secret Box: The heart of the deck’s consistency engine. Arven: Strong early game search for Item and Tool cards. Boss’s Orders (Ghetsis): Enables aggressive plays and punishes slow setups run at three copies for reliability. Lillie’s Determination: Provides flexible draw and helps preserve crucial resources better than Professor’s Research in this build. Technical Machine: Evolution & Devolution: Evolution accelerates setup, while Devolution acts as pseudo removal against damage heavy opponents. Iono & Counter Catcher: Core disruption tools, helping you turn losing positions into comebacks. Spikemuth Gym & Artazon: Essential Stadiums that improve consistency and board setup. Matchup Breakdown Gardevoir ex / Jellicent ex – Slightly Favored Despite Gardevoir’s Psychic typing and Darkness weakness, this matchup isn’t an auto win. Gardevoir ex’s disruption and Technical Machine: Devolution pressure can make things tricky. Avoid benching Froslass in this matchup, as Technical Machine: Devolution attached to Jellicent ex can reset your entire board. Prioritize setting up Marnie’s Morgrem, which can safely attack low HP targets like Ralts or Frillish. Once your Grimmsnarls are online, Gardevoir often struggles to sustain enough energy to keep up with your consistent pressure. Dragapult / Dusknoir – Slightly Unfavored This matchup can be rough, but it’s winnable with smart play. Froslass shines here its Freezing Shroud pings your opponent’s Drakloaks, setting them up for KOs via Adrena Brain or Technical Machine: Devolution. Yveltal can also stall effectively by trapping Latias or Fezandipiti Active for a few turns, giving you time to spread more damage. However, watch out for Budew’s Itchy Pollen, which can shut down your early setup. If your opponent opens poorly or overextends, you can capitalize quickly with Boss’s Orders and aggressive play from Grimmsnarl.

Premium Booster -The Best- Vol. 2 is a Game Changer for the One Piece Card Game
Premium Booster -The Best- Vol. 2 is a Game Changer for the One Piece Card Game The One Piece Card Game continues to sail smoothly, and Premium Booster -The Best- Vol. 2 (PRB-02) might just be the best sign of that yet. Following in the wake of its beloved predecessor, PRB-02 had some massive expectations to meet and incredibly, it doesn’t just match the first installment’s hype... it exceeds it. When was the last time a sequel actually lived up to the original in the world of trading cards? The answer lies in its brilliant design: 18 powerful new cards are joined by a stunning 298 reprints from across the first ten sets of the game. If you've been asking for reprints of nearly every chase card from the last two years your wish has been granted. Only a handful of top picks didn’t make the cut. That’s an absolute win. Affordability is always a hot topic in TCG circles, and Bandai seems to understand that. Their approach with “The Best” booster subseries and frequent starter deck releases has clearly become their method of keeping the game playable and accessible. PRB-02 guarantees at least one Super Rare or higher per pack, ensuring players are getting serious value a rarity in most booster products. Whether you're a competitive veteran or a newer player looking to build your collection, there’s never been a better time to dive into the One Piece TCG. And if you’re the practical type? Buying singles might be the smartest move yet. Let's highlight 10 of the biggest reprints that have transformed the game and players' wallets. 10. Trafalgar Law (OP10-119) Market Price: $2.66 Originally introduced in Royal Blood (OP10) as a Manga Rare, Trafalgar Law was a huge deal and his $20 price tag proved it. Frequently played in decks led by Eustass Kid, other versions of Law, and even Enel, Law filled a versatile role that’s now far more affordable thanks to this timely reprint. 9. Rebecca (OP05-091) Market Price: $0.44 Don’t let the low price fool you Rebecca is one of the most used black cards in the game’s history. Whether you're piloting Sakazuki, Rob Lucci, or even older archetypes like Gecko Moria, Rebecca is a staple. Once a $10 Super Rare, you can now snag her for under a dollar. Accessibility wins again. 8. Brook (EB01-046) Market Price: $1.53 With its cost reduction effect and KO potential, Brook is a must have for black control decks especially those using Rob Lucci. While its alternate art version once reached $25, this reprint keeps Brook affordable without sacrificing playability. 7. Sanji (OP06-119) Market Price: $4.90 A linchpin in Monkey.D.Luffy (OP11-040) decks, Sanji enables some of the most powerful top deck synergies in the game. Once valued at a whopping $40, you can now grab him for around $5. A no brainer if you’re playing red or multicolor strategies. 6. Roronoa Zoro (OP06-118) Market Price: $4.38 A restanding attacker is always threatening, and Zoro is one of the best at it. Having peaked at $35, he’s now incredibly accessible. With Jewelry Bonney and other red green Leaders still floating around the meta, Zoro isn’t going anywhere. 5. Silvers Rayleigh (OP08-118) Market Price: $4.94 Once a nearly $50 card thanks to its dominance in Shanks (OP09-001) decks, Rayleigh’s powerful KO ability is now within reach. This is the lowest it’s ever been if you’ve been holding off, now’s the time. 4. Uso-Hachi (ST18-001) Market Price: $0.83 No starter deck card should ever cost $18. Period. Uso-Hachi was a crucial counter and removal option for purple decks now you can own a playset for the price of a lunch. An essential reprint for anyone looking to play purple competitively. 3. Cavendish (EB01-012) Market Price: $5.44 Before this reprint, Cavendish was a collector’s nightmare. With Supernova Leaders constantly evolving, his synergy is still vital and now finally affordable. If you plan to play the upcoming Carrying On His Will (OP13), buy now before prices climb again. 2. Monkey.D.Luffy (EB02-061) Market Price: $13.14 This Secret Rare was once nearly $100 and it deserved it. Luffy’s powerful combo of Rush, restanding, and Life manipulation makes it a game ending bomb. It's seen across multiple Luffy variants and remains one of the best late game threats in the game. Now? Just over $13. That’s a steal. 1. Mr. 2 Bon Kurei (Bentham) (EB01-061) Market Price: $17.91 The crown jewel of the set. Mr. 2 was the barrier for purple players. A DON!! accelerator, counter, and a removal tool wrapped in one all previously locked behind a $70 paywall. Now? Yours for less than $20. This card will remain a staple in purple decks for the foreseeable future. Get it while you can.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A A Sci Fi Mystery in a Beautiful, Evolving World
Pokémon Legends: Z-A A Sci Fi Mystery in a Beautiful, Evolving World Beneath the peaceful canopy of a starlit sky, the world of Pokémon Legends: Z-A simmers with hidden tension. Battles loom on the horizon fiery, spectacular, and unpredictable. One moment, your humble pocket monster is a familiar companion. The next, it's a towering titan that flattens a puffy, purple Gengar in an explosive display of Mega Evolution. To mark the victory, your companion Taunie a cheerful local plates up a peculiar croissant curry. In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the goal isn’t just to “catch ’em all.” There’s a deeper mystery afoot in Lumiose City, a reimagined version of the Paris inspired setting from Pokémon X and Y. It’s here that you arrive as a wide eyed tourist, only to be swept into a sci fi conundrum: wild Pokémon are behaving strangely, lashing out like frenzied beasts. During the day, the city exudes calm and charm. Trainers stroll along avenues reminiscent of the Champs Élysées, and orange and yellow Magikarp leap from crystal clear waters. You can even see the rocky bottom a small detail, but one that reflects a larger shift in visual quality. Earlier Pokémon games prioritized gameplay and new species over immersive environments, but here, the setting has finally been given its due. As the narrative unfolds, you’re guided by Taunie a friendly, ponytailed local who serves as both mentor and occasional battle partner. Her enthusiasm is infectious, and her homemade curry adds a touch of cozy domesticity to the adventure. There’s much to do beyond battling: helping researchers discover new Pokémon, taking on detective led side quests, or simply sitting at a café and observing the city’s lively citizens and perfectly manicured parks. But serenity gives way to spectacle when Mega Evolution enters the scene. First introduced in 2013’s Pokémon X and Y, Mega Evolution has received a dramatic facelift. Now, transformations explode with swirling tornadoes of color, flickering lights, and boulders that seem to crackle with energy. Battles take place in unique urban arenas from gated gardens and basketball courts to rooftop terraces, recalling the rooftop runs of Assassin’s Creed. After winning, you can leap from the heights using your Roto Glide, a futuristic phone feature that functions like an invisible parachute. While the battles are thrilling some lasting over 15 minutes and demanding careful strategy not every update lands smoothly. The game still lacks voice acting for human characters, which can make emotional moments feel muted. Animations for item exchanges look polished, but the items themselves are invisible a small but frequent detail that disrupts immersion. Additionally, the control scheme is overly complex, with too many button combinations to memorize easily. Some players may find this learning curve steep. Despite these flaws, Pokémon Legends: Z-A shines in its representation of diverse characters and thoughtful world building. The city is filled with unique personalities: a scientist in a trench coat mentions Pokémon with unknown genders; a sharply dressed trainer shares how his grandmother discarded his gear when he chose fashion over fighting; and a bald man muses, “Sometimes being with others makes you feel more alone.” In a franchise that increasingly leans into multiplayer modes and social connectivity, that last statement feels almost subversive. It’s a quiet reminder that sometimes, it’s okay to step away from the crowd and simply enjoy playing Pokémon alone.

Riftbound: Everything We Know About Riot's New Trading Card Game
Riftbound: Everything We Know About Riot's New Trading Card Game If you’ve read my latest article gushing over Riftbound, you already know I’ve been counting down the days until I can get my hands on Riot’s upcoming TCG. A spiritual successor to Legends of Runeterra that blends my addiction to card games with the rich world of League of Legends and even Arcane? Riot, just take my money. But for those less entrenched in the world of Riot’s IP, let me walk you through why Riftbound is shaping up to be one of the most exciting TCG launches in recent memory. Introducing Riftbound: Riot's Ambitious New TCG Riot Games is officially entering the trading card game scene with Riftbound, a brand new game set in the universe of League of Legends. Whether you’re a long time LoL player, a former Runeterra loyalist, or a fresh faced TCG fan, there’s plenty to get excited about. When Riftbound was first revealed in December 2024, the reception was… lukewarm. Fans criticized the initial card designs as uninspired, and Riot was frustratingly vague about the game’s mechanics and vision. Fast forward to now, and the Riftbound team has taken that feedback to heart. They've completely revamped the aesthetic, clarified the core mechanics, and launched a much more compelling vision — one that has me genuinely excited. Riftbound Release Date The game’s first set, Origins, has now been fully revealed. China Release: Early August 2025 Global Release: October 31st, 2025 This staggered release is only temporary. Riot has confirmed future sets will launch simultaneously worldwide. Which Champions Are in Riftbound? Game Director Dave Guskin put it best: "TCGs are voracious everything that could happen eventually will." The Origins set features many of the most iconic League of Legends champions, and Riot plans to bring in every major (and even minor) character over time, including alternate universes like Star Guardian. Champions with Matching Legends (Deck Leaders) These champions currently have a full suite (unit, Legend, and signature spell): Darius – Play multiple cards to trigger effects Jinx – Discard heavy aggro Volibear – Mana ramp Ahri – Battlefield control Yasuo – Battlefield movement Lee Sin – Buff synergy Kai’Sa – Spell heavy spellslinger style Miss Fortune – Trick plays & movement Teemo – Hidden effects and traps Leona – Stun and lockdown control Sett – Spend buffs for explosive payoff Viktor – Go wide token generation Champions Currently Without a Legend These champions appear in Origins but don’t yet have a Legend, meaning they’re playable in decks, but not as your deck’s leader… yet. Draven, Tryndamere, Vayne, Vi, Caitlyn, Sona, Taric, Ekko, Qiyana, Heimerdinger, Anivia, Udyr, Warwick, Kayn, Kog’Maw, Fiora, Shen, Dr. Mundo, Malzahar, Nocturne, Twisted Fate, Karma, Karthus, Blitzcrank Proving Grounds Exclusive Champions The Proving Grounds starter box includes champions and Legends not available elsewhere (at least for now): Annie, Master Yi, Lux, Garen How Does Riftbound Play? Riot has released a full PDF rulebook for those who want the nitty gritty mechanics, but here’s a quick look at what formats you’ll be able to play. Formats Available at Launch: 1v1 Constructed 2v2 Constructed 4 Player Constructed 1v1 Sealed 2v2 Sealed 4 Player Sealed Draft (In Development) 5v5 Mode (In Development): Simulates a full League of Legends match.
